Verge of Sundown
How beautiful would one star be
If that were all our eyes could see?
Does it not take the night,
Reflection and shades of Moonlight
To enhance our view?
What then makes one beautiful?
One lock of hair, a kind comment,
The sound of your voice,
The size of my heart?
Or the reflection of me I see
In you, and the beauty of you
I find in myself.
You are sky, I am water.
Look at us!
Special thanks to Helga Kvam for today’s photograph.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add,
but when there is nothing left to take away.
