Placid

Is there a place, perhaps in the back of my mind to savor the warmth of you even when I am far away?
Never such a calm exists but without the electricity emanating from your light.
No color or texture unaccounted for or standing alone, without an effect on the bleed to next. We are all love.
Any position of cloud or sun is perfect when I find you. Even raindrops make their own ethereal majesty.
Twisted, unfolded, wrapped up, elongated or stretched, you still bring the feeling. Wrap me in you. I surrender, you take me.

Ah, life!

New and old,

 Beautiful: living and dying.

Too difficult to master, too simple to ignore.

Every shade of every color casts its own spell.

Every breath of you brings me lighter still

The only dank smell that brings a sweetness.

Crunches, sways, tickles my ears.

Last vestiges of green …. Not quite craving, something.

What is it?

Restless

Mmmhhhh

Is there not a more perfect perch

To take in this incredible force?

To sit and hear. Fathom…..how?

Absorb the mist, let it envelop me.

I am a cloud.

Roaring…..

Such thunderous power

and me.

I feel you

In the still of your perfect moment

Of a fading summer day

Be still and listen

And stand in the light

Be present, and wait

Wait for me

Do you hear the music?

When you are ready…

Only when you are ready

Are you ready?

Soften your eyes and look upon my waters

At my ribbony rays and me

We will dance for you

Relief

These river rocks must have been here many seasons

I, a weary traveler seek rest in them

Just to sit and catch my breath

Take a long, cool drink

It was probably a day from the time I first held

This refuge in my vision

As I fought the current

As I always do

Took so long to reach this place

From downstream

I will sit and look back now at how far I have come

Not very far, it seems

Yet so much still beyond where I started

Either direction, a mystery

Perhaps if I stop fighting

And go with the flow

Jump in and let the waters carry me

Perhaps then the tranquility I observe

But have yet to feel

Will be mine at last

Life Outside

Life Outside, originally uploaded by bittermuppet.

What is this tired old spell the dreary days of winter have cast upon me?

I can last no more in this bleak existence.

Oh, Spring, please come!

I long for your long warm days and lightness.

I need to look upon your sun and shout “Hooray”!

Once in, the cold envelopes me for such long, long nights.

I cannot rest. I cannot dance. Misery is my only love.

Here….a tiny hint, I see.

through my sad and broken pane.

Your voice, so small.

Is that

Green?

Oh say it is so! Must be that spring is coming.

She will not let me down, ever.

She always comes. Just as I feel I can stand not one more second.

There she is….

My hope!

"Dawn" by Renate F.

For snowflake. The one on this side of the fence, and the one on the other.

For barn. You shelter the sequestered, and provide something familiar.

For distance, even the nearer you are.

For lonebush, and your sweet fruits.

For these two: tree and tree, who keep good company.

For visitor, who beholds too.

And with thanks to mountain and mountain and hill.

I gift you this morning. It is yours to share.

She cannot be divided. Forever whole, though not permanent.

Your gift to love as I love you. Your plight is honorable.

I will bring her again in the morrow.

Breathe her in, now.

Thanks to Renate F for today’s photograph
